Join the congregations of St. Stephen’s and Lake Edge Lutheran on Sunday evening, November 19th, at 6:00 pm for a service of Thanksgiving celebration! There will be ample opportunities to offer thanksgiving for all that God has provided, as well as lively music provided by the combined choirs and accompanied by the Janesville-based jazz band, the JJs. Noisy Offerings in December
This Advent Season, the Sunday School Children will be collecting donations to purchase animals for families in need through the ELCA Good Gift's "God's Global Barnyard" program. The children will be encouraged to collect change and bring their donations to Sunday School during the month of December. In addition, some little Barnyard animals will be collecting donations from the Congregation on December 17th after the 9 AM service. "An animal can make a world of difference for a family in need. Animals provide food to eat, fertilizer to grow crops, an offspring to sell at the market. With one gift, you can help a family escape the cycle of hunger and poverty for good. "  We will be learning about all of the blessings these animals can provide and how the gift continues to give for years to come. We appreciate any and all contributions to help the children experience the gift of giving this Christmas season! Visit Good Gifts at: community.elca.org/elcagoodgifts
